Puna Legal is a UK estate planning practice. We write Wills, set up Trusts and prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney — on fixed fees, agreed before we start. No hourly billing, no jargon, and no pressure to buy something you do not need.

Most people who call us have been putting this off for years. That is normal. Our job is to make the next hour of your life straightforward, and then leave you with a plan that actually works when your family needs it.

What we can help you with

Wills

Your Will decides who inherits, who looks after your children, and who administers your estate. Without one, the intestacy rules decide — making no provision for an unmarried partner, however long you have been together.

Single Wills from £149 incl. VAT

Trusts

A Trust lets you pass on your home and estate while keeping control over what happens next — protecting property from care fees, safeguarding children from a first marriage, and sheltering inheritances from a beneficiary’s divorce.

Trusts from £439

Lasting Powers of Attorney

A Will covers what happens after you die. An LPA covers what happens if you lose capacity while still alive. Without one, your family cannot simply step in — they may face a slow, public, expensive Court of Protection application.

Fixed fees, agreed before we start

Most people avoid estate planning because they are afraid of the bill more than the paperwork. So we take that off the table first. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins, and it does not move.

  • Single Will — from £149 including VAT
  • Trusts — from £439

If your circumstances need something more involved, we will tell you what it costs and why before you commit to anything. Your first conversation is free either way.

How it works

1

A free first conversation

We talk through your family, your property and what you are worried about. No charge, no obligation, no sales pitch. Usually twenty minutes on the phone is enough.

2

Your recommendation, in writing

We set out what we think you need, what it will cost, and just as importantly what you do not need. Plenty of people leave this stage with a simple Will and nothing more.

3

Drafting and review

We draft the documents and go through them with you clause by clause, in plain English. You change anything you want changed before you sign a thing.

4

Signing and safe storage

We make sure your Will is signed and witnessed correctly — the single most common reason a Will fails — and stored somewhere your executors can actually find it.

Why people choose Puna Legal

Nick Puna is a member of The Society of Will Writers and a member of The National Association of Licensed Paralegals. That matters more than it might sound. Will writing is not a reserved legal activity in England and Wales, which means anyone can set up and offer it tomorrow with no qualification at all. Society of Will Writers membership means agreeing to a published code of practice, meeting proficiency standards, carrying professional indemnity insurance and completing ongoing training every year. It is worth asking any will writer you speak to which body they belong to.

Estate planning is all we do. We are not a general practice that writes the occasional Will between conveyancing files. This is the whole of our work, so we see the same problems often enough to spot yours early.

We write in English, not Latin. If you cannot explain your own Will back to us, it has not been drafted properly. Every clause gets explained before you sign.

Fixed fees, quoted up front. No hourly rates, no open-ended bills, no surprise invoice three months later.

Registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Your personal and financial information is handled under a registered data protection framework.

Questions people ask us most

Can a family member witness my Will? No — anyone who benefits from the Will, directly or indirectly, is disqualified, and if they witness it they lose their inheritance. Witnesses must be independent adults over eighteen.

Can I change my Will later? Yes, at any time while you have capacity. Major changes mean a new Will; smaller ones can be handled with a Codicil or a Memorandum of Wishes.

Does getting divorced cancel my Will? No, and this catches almost everyone out. Separation changes nothing at all, and even a final order leaves gaps that can send your estate somewhere you never intended.
